The High-Tech Agenda Germany at a Glance

In the summer of 2025, the German government adopted the High-Tech Agenda Germany. It will make a significant contribution to increasing Germany's innovative strength. The High-Tech Agenda Germany focuses on three pillars: The focus is on the further development of six priority key technologies and the strengthening of five research fields. In addition, nine levers will be used to increase the innovation potential in key technologies and research fields. The three pillars represent the central elements for implementing the agenda.

Transparency and traceability of the implementation processes are very important to us. We will therefore keep you informed about the status of implementation and enable interested companies and scientific institutions to participate.

In addition to key technologies, strategic research fields are another focus of Germany's High-Tech Agenda. They address five relevant areas in which research and innovation play an important role in maintaining and improving the prosperity and security of the population. To varying degrees, they also enable the further development of key technologies and their transfer into applications. Five strategic research fields are central to Germany's future innovation and economic strength:

  • Aerospace

  • Health Research

  • Security and Defence Research

  • Marine, Climate and Sustainability Research

  • Social Sciences and Humanities

Levers for Germany's High-Tech Agenda
